JULY 2016 - SITE IMAGES AND OLD MAST SECTIONS

Since the last images were taken in August 2015, security has been further enhanced with fencing around all the stay blocks and along the radio transmitter cable run from the original building to the new mast base.  Additional CCTV and associated warning notices on all the fenced installations have also been deployed.

The first five images below highlight the security enhancements.

The next image shows the original buidlings, now with only the BT tower rising above them.  It also shows the cable run for radio services, as detailed in the July 2015 images, which is now fence protected.

Next: The original main building, looking somewhat isolated.

Next: Although almost a year has passed since the old mast was dismantled, sections of it still lie on the ground, almost like an informal memorial.

Next: The base section of the old mast.

Next: The base section from the front showing the centre space for the ball bearing on which the mast was pivoted.
