ORIGINAL AND NEW MAST
First: July 2010. The new mast in early stages of construction.
Next: November 2010. The new mast at full height with the main UHF aerial installed.
Next: May 2012. Digital Switchover had taken place by this time but, with the new mast initially broadcasting UHF only, installations on the new mast were still minimal.
Next: August 2015. The following three images show the original mast in the final stages of decomission and the new mast now carrying all services and fitted out accordingly.
Next: August 2016 : The new mast now stands alone with the original buildings providing the only indication of where the old mast stood.
Next: These last two images taken from the east go back to November 2010 when the new mast was still predominantly transparent steelwork.
