The Midhurst site features the purely utilitarian appearance of most UHF new-build stations.

The first four images show the south-facing main building complex that was constructed to house the original analogue transmitters.

Next: The following two images show the rear-sited digital UHF transmission hall originally built to house digital UHF services from 1998.

Next:  Two rear area views taken from the east.  The double-fencing around the mast is relatively new with this whole area being 'open-plan' as late as November 2004, possibly later, allowing unrestricted access to the mast base.

By March 2007, the inner lower-level fencing was in place with the outer higher-fencing probably added during DSO re-engineering work.

Click here for earlier images around the mast base (opening in new window)

Next: Another of the single line inner stay blocks.

Next: The following three images show the outer stay blocks which support three lines each.
